Stayed overnight in March 2023. As far as I know, no higaeri. Actually there is higaeri, it's included in the Okuhida tegate. There are 2 public onsens with gender rotation and two free kashikiri baths on a first-come-first-served basis. All onsens have an indoor bath and a rotenburo, each with more or less the same view of forested mountains. The stay was great. Large room with its own irori and huge windows. Food was also great, served in separate private rooms with irori. Overall service is 10/10, would come back. But there are stronger onsens in Okuhida, so 4/5.

Stayed overnight in March 2023. There is a day-use option included in the Tegata Okuhida pass. There are 2 public onsens with separate male/female shifts and two free private kashikiri baths on a first-come, first-served basis. All onsens have an indoor bath and a rotenburo (open-air bath), each with roughly the same view of forested mountains. Accommodation was great. A large room with its own irori (sunken hearth) and huge windows. The food was also good, served in separate private rooms with irori. Overall service is 10/10, I would return. But there are stronger onsens in Okuhida, so I rate it 4/5.
