A full-service hotel in Beppu with a garden rotenburo (open-air bath) and a large granite indoor bath, both running on kakenagashi (源泉かけ流し) spring water fed without recirculation. The water is clear and has long been called bijin-no-yu (美人の湯), meaning it is traditionally considered good for the skin. The open-air bath sits in a landscaped garden where cherry blossoms hang over it in spring and the night sky is visible after dark. Some room types have their own private outdoor bath.
