ロッヂ スエヒロ
Uses natural hot spring water
One 2024 Google review expresses skepticism ('お風呂は温泉??') about whether the bath is genuinely onsen; kept the site's explicit claim of unheated, undiluted, daily-refreshed kakenagashi spring water as the more authoritative source.
Enclosed indoor bathing area
Private onsen bath in guest rooms, for overnight guests only
Site's own room-amenity list (TV, kotatsu, heating/cooling, shared washlet toilets by floor) shows no in-room bath or toilet — only the single shared communal bath exists.
Welcomes children and families
Inferred only from a 2024 review noting families with children as guests; no explicit written kids policy found on the site.
On-site or nearby parking available
Facility page's amenity table lists 駐車場 (parking): 無料 (free).
Lodge Suehiro is a small family-run lodge in Echigo-Yuzawa with a single indoor bath, just big enough for two, filled with natural onsen water that runs unheated and undiluted and gets refreshed daily. The rest of the place has the feel of an old ski hut: tatami rooms with futons, thin walls, and an owner couple who cook dinner and breakfast from their own vegetable garden and local rice. People come for the nearby ski slopes and end up remembering the hosts as much as the stay.
