This APA Hotel & Resort sits on the shore of Shibayama-gata lake in the Katayamazu onsen area. The indoor bath runs along a fifteen-meter window looking out over the water and the Hakusan mountains beyond, and the outdoor bath shares the same view. A sauna and a cold bath were added in a 2023 renovation, and some rooms come with their own open-air tub. The spring water is salty, said locally to help you recover from a day of travel. It's a large hotel in the APA chain, so the baths and lobby feel more like a big hotel than a traditional ryokan, but the lake and mountain views carry the place.
