Day Use
YesDay-use hours run 15:00 to 18:00 in the winter period and 15:00 to 20:00 in the green (non-winter) period. Since overnight guests get priority use of the baths, hours may be cut shorter in winter or on busy days, so it's best to call ahead on the day.
1,320 yen for adults (elementary school age and up), including a face towel rental; free for preschool-age children.

About
Sakura tei is a hot-spring ryokan a short walk from Echigo-Yuzawa station. The baths are split by gender, and each side has an indoor tub plus an open-air one; the open-air bath runs straight off the spring, while the indoor tub is recirculated. The water itself is mild and gentle on the skin, true to Echigo-Yuzawa's springs, which are said to have been found in the late Heian period and grew the town into a stopover on the old road long before it became known for skiing. Day-use bathing is open to non-guests as well, and past visitors often mention how attentive the staff are.
