About
Every room at Ichifuji is a separate cottage, each with its own natural hot-spring bath: an indoor tub and an open-air one just outside. Bathing happens right off your room, on your own schedule. A guest lounge pours free drip coffee morning and evening, and a courtyard garden links the cottages, good for a walk after dinner. The building is new: it went up after the 2020 flood that hit the Kuma River basin and reopened as an all-cottage ryokan in late 2024. Dinner is a chef-made kaiseki course built around local Hitoyoshi ingredients, served in a private dining room.
