A large day-use bathhouse at the foot of Mt. Yakurai, run by the local town corporation as part of a bigger leisure complex with a restaurant and rest areas. Inside there is real variety: a big communal bath, a reclining bath, a waterfall bath (utaseyu), a sauna and a cold bath, plus an open-air bath where the water feels clear and light on the skin. The outdoor bath is best after dark, when the sky over Yakurai is properly black and full of stars. A private family bath can also be rented by the hour.
