Akiu Onsenkyo Kankane Onsen

A secluded inn about 3 km into the mountains from the Akiu Onsen area, known locally as one of the rare public bathhouses in a district otherwise dominated by large hotel-style facilities. The spring water is chloride-rich and silky. It has a long history and something of a lived-in character, one reviewer mentioned hearing stories from the owners about the place's past.
