About
A wide, tiered open-air bath (rotenburo, 露天風呂) right on the riverbed of the Kamuda River, separated from the water by just a single rock. The spring is a simple hot spring (tanjun-sen, 単純泉) fed directly from the source, and the lowest tier is mixed (konyoku, 混浴). With the Northern Alps rising upstream, it's one of those baths where the boundary between the pool and the mountains feels genuinely blurry.
