Conceptually, a very interesting place because it is an onsen in a temple. The temple itself is huge and popular; while I was there, several ceremonies were taking place, and there were many amulet sales, etc. I didn't expect much from the onsen, I came only for the interesting concept. But I was wrong, the onsen itself turned out to be excellent! Bright, well-ventilated room. One wall is missing (a large window is slid open), right in front of the exit to the street is a bath. You can sit on the edge and look into the distance. The view of the forest and the mountains stretching far away is rare for such establishments. There are also 5 individual barrels, each representing one of the elements - earth, water, etc. And one large indoor bath. All baths are about 41 degrees Celsius. "Tickets" (donations) are sold on the first floor as a set of 4 for 1500 yen, valid for 9 months. Another feature is the drinking water source! Very tasty mineral water. You can take some with you; a small bottle is provided. The cafeteria on the first floor is delicious - dango is recommended in all reviews. I tried it - tasty. Definitely recommended to visit.
