JR Inn Hakodate stands right by Hakodate Station, and its bath is on the top floor, the 12th, split by gender, with an indoor tub and a rotenburo. The water isn't drawn from a hot spring, but the setting is the reason to go up there: you soak while watching trains arrive and depart on the platform below, with Hakodateyama and the city lights further out. A lounge next door stays open for guests after their bath, with the same view and coffee on hand. The bath is for hotel guests only, at no extra charge.
