About

A small six-room ryokan in Shin-Hirayu Onsen, part of the Okuhida hot spring area, quietly run for more than three decades. The main building has an indoor bath and an open-air bath, and a short walk away sits a separate, reservation-only open-air bath built into a converted Meiji-era storehouse. The water itself is mild and gentle, with dark flecks of mineral sediment sometimes drifting through the indoor bath. Rooms are furnished in Hida style, and the retro lobby centers on a big irori hearth where guests are met with a cup of dandelion coffee at check-in.
