About

A large day-use bathing complex at Bayside Place Hakata, in central Fukuoka. The outdoor section runs on natural hot spring water from 800 meters underground, with a slow-flow kakenagashi (源泉かけ流し) pool among the options alongside warmer and hotter circulating pools and small tsubo-yu (つぼ湯) tubs. Five private baths (kashikiri, 貸切風呂) also draw from the same spring. The separate ganbanyoku (岩盤浴) zone, called Yakuseki Kenbikobo (薬石健美香房), has seven heated rooms and a cold room, open to men and women together with no time limit. Two saunas and a cold bath round out the main bathing area.
