Kussharoko-han Oyakotsu Jigoku

At the tip of the Wakoto Peninsula jutting into Lake Kussharo, volcanic vents hiss from the cliffs, and right at their base, a natural pool forms where the hot spring seeps out and blends with the cold lake water. The soaking temperature adjusts itself with the seasons. Getting there means about 15 minutes on a flat trail around the peninsula, with the lake and the mountains opening up around you.
