A 10-visit ticket book costs 3,000 yen for adults, 1,000 yen for middle and high schoolers, and 600 yen for children. Shirahama residents aged 65 and over can buy a discounted 100 yen ticket through the Tourism Division. Entry is free for visitors with a disability, plus one caregiver. Towels, soap, shampoo and razors are not included: they're sold separately (towel 200 yen, soap 40 yen, shampoo 40 yen, razor 30 yen), and coin lockers are 100 yen.

A high-temperature sulfur-bearing sodium chloride strong-salt spring (74 °C at source) from Wakayama's Shirahama coast. Strongly mineralized at roughly 20 g/kg dissolved solids, it leaves the distinct mineral coating of a 'kyō-en-sen' on the skin. Classified as sulfur-bearing ('sulfur-bearing') thanks to trace H₂S, and carries a fair load of metasilicic acid (79.5 mg/kg) for a softer skin-feel beneath the salt.
