Kappa Tengoku (かっぱ天国) sits on a short climb above Hakone-Yumoto station, high enough to look down over the rooftops and watch the Hakone Tozan railway pass below. The open-air baths draw from two private springs and flow unfiltered and undiluted (kakenagashi), leaving the water smooth on the skin. A hillside foot bath shares the same spring and the same view. Day visitors can also book a private bath for 45 minutes. The inn's guest rooms, including a pair of rooms with outdoor tubs on the balcony, pipe in water from the same source.
