A strongly acidic, sulfur-bearing spring: magnesium leads the cations, while sulfate and chloride share the anion side. The acidity is sharp enough to prickle on the skin, and dissolved hydrogen sulfide leaves a faint rotten-egg note over the water. Mineralization is moderate at 2,079 mg/kg, but metasilicic acid stands out at 206 mg/kg, enough silica to leave a thin film that makes skin feel noticeably smoother afterwards. The posted analysis lists the bath as a blend of the Yuhidari-no-sawa No. 1 and No. 2 sources.
