This is a hypertonic, neutral, high-temperature spring. At the source, the water is colorless and clear, strongly salty in taste, and odorless. Not suitable for drinking. Water is added to adjust the temperature to a level suitable for bathing.
Infinity rotenburo with a view of Kagoshima Bay for 1500 yen, open from 9:30 to 19:30, closed on Thursdays. The water is salty, cloudy, white with a slight smell, 42.6°C. The website states it's diluted kakenagashi from an 87°C source. There's one individual barrel bath (40.8°C) and a mizuburo (18.0°C). The men's and women's sides swap by day. On even-numbered days the western bath is for men. According to the staff, the only difference is the view — the eastern bath overlooks the bay, while the western one faces the open sea.
