Dorogawa Onsen 'Shinsen' is a simple thermal spring classified as hypotonic, weakly alkaline, and low-temperature. The wellhead temperature is a modest 30.7 °C and total dissolved solids come in light at 0.44 g/kg, so the water is gentle on the body and the mildly alkaline pH gives a soft skin feel. The display board doesn't print colour, taste, or odour notes — those sensory details are best gauged at the bath itself.

693. Kadojin, Dorogawa Onsen, Nara Visited for higaeri for 950. Higaeri hours are 08:00-09:30 and 13:00-21:00. There is a gender rotation for baths. 1. Afternoon time slot. Indoor bath with clear water, temperature around 41. Breathing inside is bearable. 2. Morning time slot. Indoor bath with clear water, temperature around 41.5. Here are the info boards from Kadojin: inside it's just an enclosed bathing area, forgot to take a photo. Together with a friend we made our own rotenburo by opening the window there. Inside has a pleasant atmosphere, you can sit and chill after the onsen.
