Banshoukaku Shikishima (萬象閣敷島) is a ryokan in Ureshino Onsen with no shared communal bath. Every one of the 26 rooms has its own private outdoor or semi-outdoor bath, ranging from compact granite tubs to wide rotenburo (露天風呂) suites set among oak and cypress trees. The water is the local Ureshino spring, known in Japan for leaving skin noticeably soft and smooth. Day visitors can also book a private bath without staying overnight.
