Matsubaradaikokutenjin Hot Spring

A small municipal bathhouse with just one shared tub, kept topped up with real hot-spring water straight from the source. Reviewers say there's no chlorine smell and the temperature is easy to sit in for a while, though the building itself is old and worn in places, with an attendant's desk (bandai, 番台) at the entrance. Down a side alley are a few tiny private tubs, each rented by the 50 minutes and filled straight from its own tap. It's one of seven small municipal baths on Ito's Shichifukujin-no-yu (七福神の湯, "Seven Lucky Gods hot springs") circuit, this one named for Daikokuten (大黒天). It's a short walk from Ito Station, with no parking of its own.
