Himenoyu

Himenoyu (姫之湯) is a small community bathhouse run by the local spring association in Hakone's Ohiradai area. There's one indoor bath room for each gender, no outdoor bath, and the space is simple: washing stations and the tub, nothing more. The water runs clear with a faint sulfur scent and leaves skin noticeably smooth. It runs hot, and on particularly hot days the staff dilutes it slightly, but it stays warm enough that regulars come back several times a week. The old-fashioned round tub and low-key atmosphere set it apart from Hakone's resort-style day-use facilities.
