669. Ryujin-onsen Shimogoten, Ryujin Onsen, Wakayama ★★ Visited for higaeri for 1300. Higaeri hours are 12:00-14:30. They sell the Wakayama 12 Onsen stamp book. Small outdoor mixed bath in stone. Great view of the river, forest, and bridge. Hawks may fly close to the bath - on my second visit, one was sitting on a tree opposite the bath almost the entire time. They provide a large towel as bathing attire, but don't really insist - in practice visitors decide for themselves. Clear water, temperature around 43. Indoor bath. Clear water, temperature around 41.5. A bit stuffy inside. Really great onsen in terms of views and vibes, plus it's konyoku. Recommended for a visit. 08.11.2025 09.11.2025
