Kokichi Hot Spring

420. Kokichi Hot Spring, Kurokawa Onsen Onsen for 700. Operating hours stated as 10:00 to 19:00 (closed Wednesdays). Located far from Kurokawa's center — about 35 minutes on foot (between Waraku and Hozantei). Not included in the Kurokawa tegata. Private baths available for 2,500 (didn't take one). Inside there are two baths with clear water and large white mineral deposits. Temperature of one bath is 42.5, the other 43.5. The large wooden beams are very convenient — you can hang on one side or rest the back of your head on the other. Breathing inside is excellent — almost like being outdoors. A good place, recommended for those doing a deeper higaeri dive in the village.
