Ginsuiso is a large ryokan on the coast at Inatori onsen, on the east side of the Izu Peninsula. Its own hot spring feeds two gender-separated bathhouses, each with an indoor bath and an open-air bath facing the sea, plus a sauna with a cold plunge. The water is clear and lightly salty, warming rather than sharp on the skin. Every guest room looks out over the water, and 17 of the inn's 101 rooms have their own open-air bath. It's a big, easygoing hotel-style inn rather than a quiet traditional one, with a restaurant and a lounge for guests.
