349. Ginsuisou Choraku, Arima Onsen Visited for higaeri kaiseki lunch and onsen for 8875 yen. You need to book in advance (I booked on their website). The food was delicious and the service was excellent. I think there was only one other couple doing the higaeri lunch besides me. They issue Toreco cards for this onsen (though the card release happened after my visit). After lunch you can go to the onsen; payment was at the exit. There are private baths (I didn't go in them and didn't ask about higaeri access). 1. Main outdoor area. Enclosed but spacious, cozy in its own way. Especially nice in the rain. 1.1. Bath with cloudy brown water, temperature around 40-41. 1.2. Bath with clear water, slightly cloudy, temperature around 40-41. 2. Second separate set of baths. 2.1. Indoor bath with clear water with scattered small foamy bits. Temperature around 41-42. 2.2. Outdoor bath with cloudy brown water, temperature around 42-43. 2.3. Sauna. Really liked the higaeri food-and-onsen format. Excellent food, the onsen part is also very worthy. Recommended both for visiting in this higaeri format and worth considering for an overnight stay.
