About

Tensui Saryo (天翠茶寮) is a short walk from Gora Station in Hakone. The shared large bath, including an outdoor rotenburo, runs milky water straight from the Owakudani (大涌谷) source as kakenagashi (free-flowing, non-recycled). Many rooms have a private open-air bath on the balcony fed by the Kiga (木賀) spring; rooms facing Mount Myojogatake (明星ヶ岳) are also available. A reserved private rotenburo (kashikiri, 貸切) can be booked separately, and each stay includes a session in a private-room ganbanyoku (岩盤浴, heated stone bed), though guests pick one or the other per slot. The check-in process itself takes place at a foot-bath bar (ashiyu bar, 足湯バー) where you soak your feet and have a welcome drink while Hakone scenery plays on a screen in front of you.
