A sodium-calcium chloride spring and one of Japan's hottest natural sources at 79.6 °C. Richly mineralized at 10.89 g/kg of dissolved solids, it leaves a salty, heat-retaining mineral film on the skin. A modest 92 mg/kg of metasilicic acid adds a touch of smoothness, and the water sits at a neutral pH.

About

Senoumi is a seaside ryokan in Inatori Onsen with a bathing hall on the top floor that looks straight out over the Izu coastline. It has both indoor and open-air tubs plus a sauna, and the water is drawn from the ryokan's own spring, running straight through rather than being recirculated. Natural iron and manganese give it a faint brown tint, and it's known locally for warming you right through. A reservable private bath called Futariyu (浮多里湯) has its own small open-air tub with a light scent of hinoki (檜) cypress, and a number of guest rooms have their own private open-air bath facing the sea, filled the same way from the spring. The ryokan takes its name from a shallow reef out at sea, known as good habitat for fish, and the kitchen leans on that with seafood dinners built around kinmedai (金目鯛). The building is tatami throughout, and the bathing hall's view runs from the daytime coastline to sunset over the peninsula and a full sky of stars at night.

204. Sekkaikai, Izu ★ I went for a day visit, it was listed from 14:00 to 20:00. The price was ¥1,500 plus ¥300 for a towel set. The staff were very attentive and welcoming, with a high level of service. On the website, there are nice baths in the rooms. They stamp the Shizuoka 60 onsen stamp rally. 1. Inside, there are two baths with a view of the bay. I did not notice any difference in the water between them. The water is clear, and the temperature is hot. 2. Outdoor area. 2.1. A round bath with cold water. 2.2. The main bath with a view of the bay. The water is clear, and there is fine sand. The temperature is hot. 2.3. On the upper floor, there is a set of barrels. The water in the barrels is clear, but there is sand on the bottom, and when you get into the barrel, it rises up a lot. In the large barrel, the water temperature is hot, and in the other two it is hot+. There is a sauna. A decent place, you can stop by if you are nearby. But the sand in the barrels bothered me. 19.07.2024
