Every room at Ko No Sumika (湖の栖) comes with its own private open-air onsen on the terrace, fed by the natural Toyako Onsen spring. The main public bath on the top floor takes things further: the outdoor rotenburo (露天風呂) is built in three descending tiers facing the lake, cantilevered so the water appears to merge with Lake Toya below. The same floor has a dry sauna with a full lake view, a cold plunge that draws on lake water, a jacuzzi, and an indoor bath. Day use is not available.
