About

Among the municipal hot springs, this is the newest. Kiyosen was rediscovered in the Meiji era after being buried due to a disaster in the medieval period, and was then called "Shinyu" (New Hot Spring). In the Taisho period, it was a two-story bathhouse boasting the best facilities in Kamegawa, with a waterfall bath, sand bath, and spring bath on the first floor, and a rest area and restaurant on the second floor. In the early Showa period, a magnificent bathhouse was built and it was called the "Thousand-Person Bath." The Kiyosen built in 1965 had a bath on the first floor and a community hall managed by the local association on the second floor. The building renewed and reopened in July 2016 was constructed as a hot spring full of hospitality, aiming to be a facility where various people can visit comfortably. It offers both "hot water" and "lukewarm water" baths to suit preferences. It is equipped with multipurpose toilets and facilities that make it easy for wheelchair users to bathe, making it accessible for elderly and disabled people. There is also a multipurpose hall that can accommodate various uses. Please also pay attention to the turtle shell motif design seen throughout the facility.
