Open year round with no fixed closing day, though the facility occasionally closes for maintenance, announced on site and on the website (for example, closed all day May 11 to 13, 2026).
Adult (junior high school and up) 800 yen, child (elementary school) 500 yen, infant (age 3 to preschool) 300 yen. Last entry 20:30.

MountainsMimizuku Onsen is one of four public bathhouses that share the same spring in Hakuba. It keeps things simple: one indoor and one outdoor bath for each gender, no sauna, no private baths. The water is a plain alkaline spring that leaves skin feeling smooth rather than smelling strongly of minerals. It stands on the road between JR Hakuba Station and the Happo ski area, and the outdoor bath faces Happo ridge and the Hakuba mountains, snow covered in winter. During cherry blossom season you can soak while watching the night sakura.

The hot spring itself has an alkaline spring quality that leaves your skin smooth. You can feel a kind of slippery texture from the moment you get in. The view of the Hakuba Sanzan is also excellent. However, because of the location, it is often crowded. Both the indoor bath and the open-air bath are small, so it is a shame that you cannot relax and enjoy them slowly. It is a luxury, but I thought it would be best if it were less crowded.
