About

Mimizuku Onsen is one of four public bathhouses that share the same spring in Hakuba. It keeps things simple: one indoor and one outdoor bath for each gender, no sauna, no private baths. The water is a plain alkaline spring that leaves skin feeling smooth rather than smelling strongly of minerals. It stands on the road between JR Hakuba Station and the Happo ski area, and the outdoor bath faces Happo ridge and the Hakuba mountains, snow covered in winter. During cherry blossom season you can soak while watching the night sakura.
