Shared bathing area for all genders
Welcomes children and families
On-site or nearby parking available
Free parking; one 2026 review notes the lot is narrow along Yufuin's main street.
Soan Kosumosu sits right in the middle of Yufuin, but the garden greenery around it keeps things quiet and set apart from the busy street outside. The communal bath is split by gender with an indoor and an outdoor section, and two private family baths (each with its own indoor and open-air tub) are open to any guest without booking ahead. Stay in one of the villa (hanare) rooms and you get an open-air bath built right into the room, fed straight from the spring and usable any hour of the day or night. The water is soft and faintly smooth on the skin, the kind of spring known locally for being gentle on it. A covered walkway lined with a mossy garden connects the villas, and the restaurant keeps a separate kids' area so families can eat without rushing.
