Myogaya Honkan is a ryokan in Shiobara (塩原) with roots going back to 1674. The riverside rotenburo sit at the bottom of 88 steps: five mixed-bathing pools and one women-only pool, all kakenagashi from two springs. Separate indoor baths and private reserved baths are also available. The spring water can be tasted on site.
