A sodium- and calcium-led chloride-sulfate spring rising hot at 56.5 °C from the wellhead, with sulfate adding quiet body to a salt-led mineralization. Alkaline pH 9.0 gives the slippery, beauty-water feel on the skin, while the moderate dissolved load (about 2.6 g/kg) lands well above a plain simple-thermal source — there is enough chloride and sulfate to leave a faint mineral film without crossing into a heavy salt coating.

Yu~topia Kannami is a hilltop day-use spa complex with eight baths to work through: an outdoor bath, two indoor baths, Izu-no-yu (伊豆の湯) done in rock and Hakone-no-yu (箱根の湯) in a cypress style, which swap between the men's and women's sides every other month, a bubble bath, a reclining bath, a cold plunge, a waterfall bath (utaseyu, 打たせ湯), and both a high-heat sauna and a gentler ondol-style one. The spring water itself is mild, clear, and barely scented, easy to sit in for a long soak. The building faces north, so most of the baths look out toward Mt. Fuji, with the view changing through the day. Beyond the baths there's a walking pool with water-exercise and yoga classes, a restaurant built around local produce, a big tatami rest hall, and a small shop selling vegetables and milk from nearby farms. It feels less like a tourist stop and more like a neighborhood spot, the kind of place people return to again and again.

257. Yu~topia Kannami Super sento with onsen water for 700. Listed hours 10:00–21:00 (except Tue). They stamp the 60 Onsen of Shizuoka 24/25 booklet. Based on Google photos (attached to the review), Mt. Fuji should be visible from the outdoor bath (I went late in the evening without a Fuji view), though it seems visible only from certain spots and probably not spectacular. Has a restaurant, chill zone, shop, massage, massage chairs, and a private bath for 1000 (didn't take it). 1. Outdoor area. 1.1. Large outdoor stone bath, clear water, temperature 40. 1.2. Small stone bath with 2 utaseyu. 2. Indoor area. Strong chlorine smell inside, stuffy. 2.1. Main indoor bath with clear water, temperature 42. Water smells of chlorine. 2.2. Main indoor bath with bubbles, very strong chlorine smell, uncomfortable to sit in. Temperature 39–40. 2.3. Small indoor bath for two with jets, temperature 39–40. 2.4. Two saunas. 2.5. Cold bath. The indoor area is essentially a fail due to chlorine, and the Fuji view, if any, is questionable. I'd say this is a skip.
