Kawafuruonsen Hamaya Hotel

A riverside inn in a narrow valley with a mixed outdoor bath right next to the river as its main draw. The water is a calcium-sodium sulfate spring at a relaxed 39.9°C, flowing from the source without dilution. The lukewarm temperature makes it easy to stay in for a long while. Very few tourists find their way here, so it tends to be quiet and local. The river view from the rooms and the sound of tree frogs in summer add to the low-key charm.
