This hotel sits above Inatori's fishing harbor on the Izu coast, and every room faces the sea. It has two large baths, one on the top floor looking over the harbor and the ocean, one on the ground floor built around a garden, and both switch between men and women through the day. On top of that, guests get seven private baths free of charge, open to use as often as you like. Two of them are open-air: one set among trees with a day bed to stretch out on, the other opens onto a wide sky and coastline view that's lit up after dark. The water is a salty chloride spring that keeps you warm long after you towel off. A natural hot spring was found here in 1956, and the hotel has drawn its own source since opening in 1963; the private baths and the onsen-equipped rooms run straight from it, while the two large baths filter part of the water to keep it clear. Day-use bathing isn't offered, the baths are for guests staying the night.
