Aburaya Tosen is a 32-room ryokan in Yudanaka Onsen with two separate large indoor baths, Yumeji-no-yu (夢路の湯) and Yumemi-no-yu (夢見の湯), plus a reservable private outdoor bath, Suigetsu-no-yu (酔月の湯), and six rooms that come with their own private cypress (hinoki) open-air tub. The spring is a clear, faintly salty sodium-chloride water that reviewers say keeps you warm long after you towel off. Baths and rooms look out over the Nagano mountains, and some rooms catch a river breeze too. There's also a private ganbanyoku room, where you lie on heated stones, and a rooftop bar open to non-staying visitors as well.
