Misasa Onsen Kawahara Furo

A free open-air mixed bath right on the riverbank in the middle of Misasa Onsen town, you step down to the gravel shore of the Mitoku River and soak in sodium chloride-bicarbonate water while the river rushes by a few metres away. Misasa is known for its exceptionally high radon content, and this bath is the most direct way to experience it with zero barrier between you and the outdoors.
