376. Ginsho, Ibusuki, Kagoshima Visited for higaeri for 1000 yen with unlimited towels. Higaeri listed as 18:00 to 20:00. The staff was very engaged on the onsen topic and spoke decent English. Overall the impression was that the service is at a worthy level. Photos might give the impression that the hotel has infinity baths, but none were found — better to treat it as a marketing gimmick. 1. 9th floor baths. Great view of the water. 1.1. Large outdoor bath, slightly cloudy clear water, temperature around 42-43. 1.2. Small outdoor bath, slightly cloudy clear water, temperature around 42-43. 2. 2nd floor baths. 2.1. Outdoor bath, clear water, temperature around 43-44. 2.2. Indoor bath, slightly cloudy clear water, temperature around 40. Breathing inside is comfortable. The higaeri time slot is very narrow, but there were almost no people during that time. Plus these view baths are best appreciated in daylight. Worth considering as accommodation in Ibusuki.
