About

A small city-run day-use bathhouse a few minutes' walk from Kinugawa Koen Station. Indoors it had a rock bath and a hinoki (檜) wood bath, and outside a rock bath sat in a garden with a mountain view. The water was plain and mild, smooth on the skin with almost no sulfur smell, more soothing than dramatic. It read more like a spot for locals than a tourist stop, and you had to bring your own towel, no rental on site. Nikko City closed it for good at the end of March 2024, citing the building's age and safety.
