About
Tokiwa Bekkan (ときわ別館) sits a little apart from the busier stretch of Kinosaki Onsen, with shuttle service from the station. The communal baths are gender-separated: a rock open-air bath (rotenburo) for men and a hinoki cypress indoor bath for women. Select rooms come with their own private outdoor hot spring baths. Due to a local regulation, indoor room baths do not use onsen water, so the outdoor baths are where the spring water flows. The inn leans into quiet: few rooms, tatami and wood throughout, and in-room kaiseki dining only.
