Espo is a small cafe on the ground floor of Hotel Sunshine Kinugawa, built around an outdoor footbath on the terrace. The water is gentle and mild, without a strong mineral character. The terrace looks straight across the Kinugawa river gorge to the Kinu Tateiwa (鬼怒楯岩) suspension bridge, so a soak here is mostly about the view: river below, hills beyond. It's a real cafe too, not just a footbath stand, and walk-ins are welcome alongside hotel guests.
