Sodium Chloride spring
A lightly mineralized water (374.4 mg/kg total dissolved solids), gentle on the body and falling in simple-thermal territory. Chloride is the leading anion, lending only a faint salty edge rather than a strong brine character. Metasilicic acid runs a touch high at 59.7 mg/kg, the kind of silica content that tends to leave skin feeling smoother.

57. Curegarden Open Air Bath, Gero Onsen Public onsen. Went with a tegata. Open from 8 to 21 (except Thursdays). There's a small but very densely packed outdoor zone. 1. One large bath "stretched" into several: 1.1. Main bath. 1.2. Bubble bath. This one is really nicely done — visually it's like sitting in a pot of boiling water. 1.3. "Cave/under the bridge" zone. 2. Utaseyu (waterfall bath). 3. Two barrels with warm water. 4. One barrel with cold water. There are also two sauna barrel/cabinet units. Water is clear, hot. Chlorine smell noticeable. Overall decent, but because of the number of features crammed into a small area, it feels a bit packed.
