A blended source that brings together the Yufu-no-yu and Asagiri-no-yu wells, classified as a simple thermal spring — neutral, hypotonic and light on the body at 832 mg/kg of dissolved solids. At 71.6 °C it ranks among Japan's hottest natural sources, and the posted panel records it reaching the bathing position at 43.8–50.4 °C. What lifts it above ordinary simple water is metasilicic acid at 226 mg/kg, enough to leave the thin silica film that places this spring in Japan's beauty-water family. The panel documents the water for neuralgia, joint stiffness, bruises and sprains, convalescence and fatigue recovery.

724. Yufuin Sansuikan, Yufuin ★★ I went for a higaeri for ¥1000. Higaeri is listed from 13:00 to 15:00. There is bath rotation by men/women (relevant only for overnight guests). There is a shampoo bar and a water cooler. 1. Outdoor area. Nice view of the mountain. 1.1. The outdoor bath is partly made of stone. The water is clear, temperature 43. 1.2. Sauna. 1.3. Rectangular cold bath. 2. Indoor area. The air inside is easy to breathe. 2.1. Main central bath. The water is clear, temperature 40.5. 2.2. Additional bath in the corner. The water is clear, temperature 40.5. 2.3. Event bath (it had rooibos). The water is clear, slightly yellowish. Temperature 31.5. Nice view of the mountain and a variety of baths. For higaeri, it is definitely recommended to visit. 05.01.2026

A big concrete hotel with dinner and breakfast as a buffet. Brief notes on the food — wagyu, crab, tuna, tempura, and lord have mercy, a cotton candy machine. Also lots of local alcohol and an amazing view from the room — no regrets! The hotel has several baths. Photos from Google — it was crowded. Water temperature is comfortable, composition sign photo attached. There are both indoor and outdoor baths. The "barrel" baths had herb sachets in them — cool water, great for soaking after the hot baths. One bath block is a floor up, and where the barrel photo is from — there's now an additional fence, which is a shame. On the lower floor in the garden there's a stone bath with a view of the mountain, and in spring it's all cherry blossoms. Also a sauna and an ice-cold bath. Higaeri is available.
