Bathing only: 2,200 yen for adults, 1,650 yen for children (age 2 through elementary school), plus a separate 50 yen bathing tax. Bring your own towel, or buy a small one for 220 yen or rent a bath towel for 330 yen at the front desk. Garden admission (500 yen for adults) is charged separately.

Yoshiike is a large, 64-room ryokan in Hakone-Yumoto that draws on six springs it owns itself, kept flowing straight from the source with no recirculation. The water is clear and mildly salty on the skin. Men's and women's sides each have their own indoor bath and an outdoor garden bath, and the men's side adds a small cave bath by the main hall. Two indoor private baths can be booked separately, and every one of the 64 guest rooms has its own onsen tap as well. The garden was once a Meiji-era villa of the Iwasaki family, and guests can walk among its koi ponds whether or not they're staying the night. Day-trip bathing, a garden-view lunch, and a source-fed outdoor pool in summer are all open to visitors who just come for the day.
