Kutsurogijuku Chiyotaki sits in Higashiyama Onsen, a historic spa town tucked into the hills outside Aizu Wakamatsu. The top-floor Yugetsu-no-yu (遊月の湯) bath is the main draw: a large open-air rotenburo and an indoor bath, both with panoramic views over the castle town below. The water is light and gentle, with a clean, slightly smooth feel. Guests staying here can also walk over to the sister inn Shintaki (新滝) for more baths, a perk included with an overnight stay. A private reserved bath is available for an extra charge, and the dining room serves a buffet of creative Aizu regional cooking.
