YesThe open-air hinoki (cypress) bath closes for renovation from November 24 to December 26, 2026; the tatami-floored indoor bath is available in its place during that time. Last entry for day-use bathing is 20:00.
10:00-17:00 includes rest-area access: 800 yen for adults, 500 yen for children. 17:00-21:00 (no rest-area access): 500 yen for adults, 300 yen for children. Tuesdays have a reduced ladies' rate of 400 yen. Up to three preschool-age children bathe free.

Sachinoyu Onsen is a ryokan in Itamuro Onsen (板室温泉), a quiet hot-spring area inside Nikko National Park. Locals call it tsue wasure no yu (杖忘れの湯), "the cane-forgetting bath." Alongside an indoor bath, it has two outdoor baths that swap between the men's and women's sides day by day: Tsuna-no-yu (綱の湯), a rare standing bath where you hold a thick rope in deep water, and Otaki-no-yu (大滝の湯), built around a tall waterfall-style utaseyu (打たせ湯). The alkaline spring water is clear and essentially odorless, drawn straight from the source and kept flowing fresh. The inn is geared toward older guests and long-stay toji (湯治) visitors, and reviewers note genuinely attentive, personal service.
