About

A historic ryokan in the Namarigawa valley known for its four distinct baths, all source-fed with alkaline simple spring water. The most famous is Shirakozaryu (白猿の湯), a deep circular stone bath where you soak standing upright, said to be one of the few standing-depth baths in Japan. The timber building's atmosphere draws inevitable comparisons to the bathhouse in Spirited Away.
