346. Gekkoen Korokan, Arima Onsen ★★ Stayed overnight with meals included. There was no problem with a double kaiseki for one person, and I liked the food. If you stay overnight at Gekkoen Korokan, you can use the onsen at the neighboring Gekkoen Yugetsusanso without limits, since it is connected by an indoor passage and a separate bridge. There are private baths for ¥2,200, but all of them use tap water, and they warn you about this separately and emphasize it. The room was fairly spacious, but in a Western style. The plans with higaeri meals are listed on the website. 1. Public bath. The bath photos from the internet match. 1.1. Nice open-air bath. There is a decent view of the trees. The water is cloudy brown, temperature 39-40. There is also a round rinsing bath nearby with clear water. 1.2. Inside bath with clear water, temperature 40-41. Easy to breathe. 1.3. Sauna. 2. Private bath with a window. The water is tap water, clear. Temperature 40-41. 3. Indoor private bath with wine, tap water. Temperature 40. If you take it, it is better during the day, because the color looks much more interesting in daylight.
