Higashiyama Onsen Mukaitaki

Mukaitaki (向瀧) is an old wooden ryokan in Higashiyama Onsen whose main building and garden are both registered as national cultural properties. All baths run on kakenagashi, fresh spring water flowing straight from the inn's own source without recirculation. There are two communal baths per gender and three private family baths available at no extra charge, first come, first served. Select rooms also have a private in-room bath fed by the same spring. The inn does not accept day visitors; the baths are for overnight guests only.
